Beginnings
Ana Auther & Nan McNamara met over 10 years ago at a prestigious acting conservatory in Los Angeles and felt an immediate connection. They shared the same work ethic, but they also both shared an insatiable passion for storytelling. They knew they were capable of much more than telling other people’s stories. After thirty years in the business, it was time to tell their own.
Faced with the shortage of roles for women over 40 in film and television, Ana and Nan formed Anagram Film Creations to generate content geared toward this often overlooked, but never to be underestimated perspective.
Their screenplays include the romantic comedy,
Brand New Ballgame and the thriller, Where There's A Will.
Philosophy
As accomplished actors on stage, screen and behind the microphone, telling stories is an undeniable way of life for Ana and Nan. They believe in the transformative power of storytelling.
A Chicago native with Cuban parents, Ana particularly enjoys viewing the world through the lens of culture and there’s no limit to the creative mileage she can cover while atop a spin bike.
Nan remains true to her St. Paul, Minnesota roots as she maintains eternal optimism that her Vikings will someday win the Super Bowl.
This pair is a sisterhood and finds absolutely no shame in indulging in a celebratory ice-cold flute of Veuve Clicquot ... for whatever the observance might be.
